Northumberland's eclectic shopping and dining experiences are sure to be a highlight of any visit.

Antique, boutique and specialty shops abound, while dozens of restaurants and local food producers offer mouth-watering treats you won't be able to resist. If you're an antique-lover, Northumberland is the place to come. Port Hope alone has nearly 20 antique shops, and you'll find many more throughout the county, many housed in beautifully-restored heritage buildings.

Specialty shops in Cobourg and other communities are a treasure trove of unique merchandise and gift ideas, while studio tours give you an opportunity to visit the homes of local artists, see them at work, and purchase their creations.

Once you've finished shopping, enjoy a delicious meal at one of Northumberland's many family restaurants, tea rooms or fine dining establishments.

Other eateries serve up regionally-produced foods, or with our new Farm Gate Guide in hand, you can go straight to the gate!  Download the Farm Gate Guide
