Swim and Scuba Dive

Swim and sunbathe on the sandy beaches of Port Hope, Cobourg and Brighton (Presqu'ile Provincial Park) on the Lake Ontario waterfront.   Would you like to try out some other locations?

- Hastings, west of the bridge on both the north and south shores of the Trent River.

- Lake Ontario at Lakeport Road (east of Grafton off of County Rd 2, exit at Wicklow Beach Rd).  There is a pebbly beach with a little stream running into Lake Ontario.

- Rice Lake:  Gore's Landing is shaded and pebbly; Bewdley is another spot and includes a playground.

- Little Lake Public Beach (west of Brighton) where Trent Valley Road turns into Lake Rd (south of Edville)

- Lion's Park beach at the Trent River, Campbellford

Are you looking for more than just a swim?  Give Brighton a try for your scuba diving adventure since it has a unique island character and 800 km of spectacular coastline for diving.

It is home to the shipwrecked, 80 ft. long, HMS Speedy which was a 1798 battle schooner with four-pound guns.

Visit the Ontario Underwater Council events page as they enjoy using Presqu'ile Provincial Park as a base for a few of their underwater events.
